Sustained Teaching of Reading is Vital Everyday!
The STRIVE program targets student’s sustained reading, providing opportunities for students to build their capacity to read for longer periods of time during the school day and to improve comprehension skills.
With 4 Specialist Learning Areas in Science, Arts and Music, Asian and Indonesian and Physical Education, Wanneroo Primary School has a number of oppoertunities to engage, entertain, challenge, inspire and empower students.
8.30am is the recommended arrival time. Students who arrive before the recommended time are required to assemble under the verandah next to the front office to ensure supervision.
Students who arrive after 8.45am are expected to enter the school via the front office to receive a late note.

Parents are encouraged to keep sick children at home. Minor injuries are treated at school but parents will be contacted when the injury or illness requires further attention. It is important that contact details are kept up to date to ensure that in times of need the school can contact a parent or an emergency contact.
You can apply to enrol your child at Wanneroo Primary School if your child meets the age requirements for entry and is a permanent resident of Australia or holds a visa with an approved sub-class.
Where the number of children applying to enrol exceeds the number of available placements, the school must prioritise enrolments according to The School Education Regulations. And although Wanneroo Primary School has a defined local intake area for accepting enrolments the school may accept children outside these areas depending on the availability of accommodation and staffing.
