Core Curriculum
Wanneroo PS implements the Western Australian Curriculum and Assessment Outline (the Outline) as mandated by the WA School Curriculum and Standards Authority.
The Outline sets out the knowledge, understandings, skills, values and attitudes that students in Pre-primary to Year 10 are expected to acquire, as well as guidelines for the assessment of student achievement.

The Outline remains broadly consistent with the Australian National Curriculum as set out by ACARA (Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority). However, the syllabuses in each of the Learning Areas has been contextualised to make them more suitable for Western Australian students and teachers.
The Pre-primary to Year 10 Western Australian Curriculum consists of the following Learning Areas:
- English
Mathematics Sciences Languages Health and Physical Education Humanities and Social Sciences - Technologies
